The Entec Employee satisfaction survey was created by a team comprising of experts in leadership, organizational development, strategic management, human resource management and psychiatry. We developed a model of employee satisfaction first, tested the model with several organizations and than developed the individual questions for each part of the model. The questions were designed so that they:
- Lead clearly to follow up implementation
- Can be answered easily by multiple ethnic groups and a wide variety of educational levels
The questions were tested and re-tested for reliability and validity. The questions are grouped under:
Leadership behaviors: 18 questions that research shows have the greatest impact on employee performance and well-being.
Workplace practices: 21 questions measuring the dynamics of ones department. They deal with practices over which employees have some degree of control.
Corporate practices: 14 questions measuring organizational wide practices & polices that impact all employees equally and over which employees have no control.
Mission and values: 13 questions measuring for pride, meaning, equality, diversity, collaboration, quality, innovation, various forms of harassment and abuse. Responsibility for these factors is typically shared equally among all manage-ment levels and employees.
